Help Robyn, a Devoted Teacher and Mom

I hope this message finds you well. Reaching out for help is never easy, but sometimes life’s challenges leave us with no other choice. That is why I am reaching out for my friend Robyn. I met Robyn online during Covid through our love of NKOTB (New Kids on the Block). Some of you may know the Blocktok community is unique and spans through generations. This community kept most of us sane during the pandemic and led to lifelong friendships. This is the case with me and Robyn, my TikTok, blockhead bestie for life! IYKYK. There was an instant connection; we celebrated and communicated everything. Robyn has 2 sons and lives in Texas. She is a Special Education teacher who loves all of her students like her own children. One of the most giving people I know.

I am reaching out with the hope that we can give back and help her with one of her son's operations. Thomas has had medical challenges starting as an infant and was diagnosed at 3 with epilepsy. When he reached school age, he was diagnosed with ADHD, Speech Impairment, and Intellectual Disability. Despite all of these challenges, Thomas is a very happy, energetic, loving little boy. He loves deeply and has such a kind heart (just like his mom).

Thomas walks on his tiptoes and refuses to wear his brace, so his tendons need to be lengthened. He is scheduled for surgery on June 12th for Tendon Length/shortening single tendon leg/ankle on both his legs. The cost of this procedure is between $6000 - $15000. Robyn is looking at a co-pay of at least $4500, which doesn't include the time she will need to be out of work or travel expenses.
