We need to move home after Hurricane Debbie

Donation protected
It has been since August 5th at 11:00 PM that Riley, Dawn and I were rescued in a boat by Florida Emergency Rescue Responders. We have been forced to live in a two bed hotel room since our house was rendered unliveable from the flood from Hurricane Debby. My not being able to walk limits the places I can stay. Demolition and mold remediation will be completed at our house within the next three days. Next begins reconstruction, the most costly, challenging and demanding part of getting us back into our home...hopefully by the beginning of the new year. Anything that you can contribute to help us reach that goal, no matter the amount, is gratefully appreciated and needed. Thank you to everyone that has donated to date. We have a long way to go and with you help and prayers we can make it.

Thank you,

Rob

This demolition work is very difficult and very taxing on my wife, her mother, father, brother/wife and our daughter, but they continue to remove anything that can be salvaged before demo of walls, doors, floorings, base cabinets, appliances, furniture, etc.of getting

Demolition gets underway Monday, September 9th. All salvageable items in our home have been removed. All destroyed and ruined furniture, appliances, cabinets, clothing, and shoes, along with four feet of soaked lower drywall, doors, trim and flooring will be removed and thrown in dumpsters. Once that's completed, we can focus on restoring our home. The next stages after demolition will take several weeks requiring that we live in a rented furnished apartment or hotel until everything is restored and built back - not until sometime around Christmas.
I begin IV Antibiotics twice a day for two weeks after a PICC Line is installed in my arm Wednesday, September 11th. Also, I will undergo daily treatment for a sore which originated from the contaminated water the rescuers drug me thru taking me to the evacuation boat.
Please help. We have a long way to go. By me not being able to walk, the difficulty for my Wife and Daughter have been greatly magnified.
Thank you,
Rob

Hurricane Debby dropped a record 21 inches of rain within 24 hours on our home last Saturday. Also, the State of Florida authorized opening the Flood Gates at Lake Manatee during high tide to protect the lake's levies. Include in the mix hundred of thousands of gallons of waste and a catastrophic toxic flood unseen in 25 years was created . We are not in a flood zone, so we were not required to have Flood Insurance. We watched as the water filled our house. We were evacuated by boat at 11 PM Monday night, 3 cats included. We lost EVERYTHING! We need everything. Anything you can do will help. My wife Dawn and daughter do everything they can. I am now paralyzed, with most of my time spent in bed, and rely on others and a wheelchair if I have to get around. The last 8 years have seen me lose almost 100 lbs. I now weigh 192 lbs, down from 280 lbs. Starting over at 70 unable to walk, my Wife recovering from recent surgery to remove a ruptured silicone breast implant from Cancer Surgery back in 2012 and a 15 year old Daughter with 3 herniated lumbar discs is where we are. God is telling us there are better days ahead! Please help if you can and pray for us!
Thank you,
Rob
