My name is Robin, and I am a mother of six wonderful children, ages 5 to 16. We are a family with no one but each other, and I have always worked hard to provide for my kids. This past year has been the most challenging of our lives. After undergoing heart ablation, kidney surgery, and battling COVID, I lost my job. Despite my best efforts to find work, my health has made it impossible to keep up, all while caring for my children on my own.

Recently, our power was turned off in the unit we were renting, and my vehicle broke down. My children are my everything—they are full of hope and dreams. My two oldest, Cartier and Chad, love basketball and play for Taft High School and Saturday Hoops. I want nothing more than to give them the chance to keep chasing their dreams, but right now, we are struggling just to get by. The funds from this fundraiser will help us get our power back on and secure a vehicle so my children can get to school, doctors, and their activities. More than anything, I want to give them the stability and comfort they deserve.

We have no family to turn to—my mother passed away when I was 19, and my father two years later. Some days, it feels overwhelming, but my children are my miracles. They give me hope and strength to keep going. I am raising children of great character, and I know that showing up for them, no matter how tired or broken I feel, is what matters most.
