Last week, I experienced a stroke that turned my world upside down. I spent several days in the hospital as doctors ran tests and discovered broken blood vessels and small veins in the back of my head. Now, I’m facing surgery and a long road to recovery. At 60 years old and married, I find myself in a tight spot—unsure how I’ll manage the mounting medical bills, deductibles, and everyday expenses while I’m unable to work.
I’ve always tried to support others in San Antonio, whether it was helping out bands or lending a hand to neighbors in need. Now, I’m the one who needs help. The funds raised here will go directly toward my surgery, therapies, medical bills, rent, and the medications I need to get through this difficult time. I don’t know how long my recovery will take, but I’m doing my best to stay hopeful and positive.
Anything you folks can spare will be a great help. This is a long shot, but it’s my last shot. Thank you for reading my story and for any support you can offer. God bless you all.
