My name is Becky Parker, and I’ve been married to my sister-in-law’s brother for 42 years. Robin Curtis has been a part of my life and our family for decades, and anyone who knows her will tell you she is one of the kindest and most giving people you will ever meet. She’s the one who always shows up, always helps others, and never asks for anything in return. She is a devoted mother, a wonderful grandmother, a hardworking woman, and someone who loves her family deeply.

This Thanksgiving, tragedy struck. A fire broke out in Robin’s apartment, and although she was thankfully able to escape with her purse and the clothes she was wearing, everything else was lost. The firefighters were only able to save a single box of sentimental items—everything beyond that was destroyed. She is now faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding her life from nothing. Clothes, furniture, daily essentials, important documents, and years of memories are gone. She is safe, and we are incredibly grateful for that, but the road ahead is long and expensive.
