Hi, I'm Robin (she/her agender), and I am starting this fundraiser to help me get to a safer and more stable place to live and begin my transition. I have grown up in a conservative environment and family and have been unable to come out to them or safely transition in any way except in private or when I'm away. I have also been in and out of my parent's home, as they have gotten more violent and angry over the years due to their conservative views, so I've had to sleep in my car or a friend's couch several times this year. I have tried to move out somewhere here in Florida, but I can't find a safe place, and as time passes, it is getting scarier and scarier to come out in this state. Because of this, I have had friends who are looking for a place in California for me to be. The funds would help me make the trek over and help pay for the deposit and first month of rent, so I have time to get on my feet while over there. I have a job and am saving up as much as possible, but I don't think I'd be able to make this trek anytime soon without the help, and I'm worried the next time I am kicked out, it could be the last.
