My name is Robin, and I’m reaching out during the most difficult time of my life. On March 1st, my partner Mike suffered a fatal stroke, and just days later, on March 13th, I lost him. We always lived paycheck to paycheck, and while I receive some Social Security Disability, it’s nowhere near enough to cover the expenses we’ve incurred. Just a month ago, we bought a used car, and now I’m left with a mortgage, car insurance, utilities, and most importantly, my precious animals—two dogs and three cats—who were like our children.
Mike had no medical coverage through his job and no life insurance, so his passing has left me with nothing to survive on. I’m scared of what the future holds. It’s not like me to ask for help, but I don’t know any other option. My faith is strong, and I believe God only gives us what we can handle, but right now, my plate is full. I need help to keep my home and care for my beloved animals, who are my family and my comfort through this tragedy.
If you’re able to support me during this time, I would be deeply grateful. Your kindness will help me keep my home and provide for my animals as I try to rebuild my life. Thank you for reading my story and for any help you can give.
