My Crowdfunding Story
My name is Robin, and I am currently fighting MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) — a rare and serious blood disease. The only cure is a bone marrow transplant, and for the past 12 weeks, I have been going through chemotherapy to get the disease into remission so I can qualify for the transplant.
I’m now preparing for the most difficult part of this journey:
one month of inpatient treatment at the hospital in Sacramento, followed by two months of required nearby housing for recovery and monitoring.
This has created a financial situation I simply cannot cover on my own. I have been unable to work for over a year, and during treatment, I face double living expenses — my home costs plus temporary housing in Sacramento. Even basic things like transportation, medical co-pays, and daily necessities are adding up quickly.
I never imagined I would need to ask for help, but this transplant is my chance to survive MDS and reclaim my life. Any support — no matter how small — will help me stay housed, get to my treatments, and complete this lifesaving transplant.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, sharing, or donating. Your support means everything to me during the hardest chapter of my life.
