Hello everyone!

I want to introduce you to my beautiful daughter-in-law, Robin! Robin and my son, Christopher, got married on July 14th, 2013, and we immediately welcomed her to our family! She is the perfect yin to Christopher's yang, and they rarely stop laughing! Robin is an insatiable reader, avid softballer (pre-Covid), crafting queen, board game fanatic, and someone that family means everything to! She and her family are so warm and welcoming we started having joint Thanksgiving celebrations!

This month (1/22) Chris and Robin should have embarked on their amazing journey! They had given up their apartment, sold many of their possessions, and were in the process of buying a travel van so they could travel around the country! They wanted to see the sights, work on their artistic businesses and recover from the psychological stress that was (is) the pandemic. But cancer postponed their trip.

This October, after having surgery on her toe, Robin found out she has Malignant Melanoma. Unfortunately, after further scans, tests, and a groin biopsy, it was discovered that the cancer had spread. This means it is Stage 3. Treatment will consist of at least four immunotherapy infusions with two different medications and surgery (possible toe amputation). At several times throughout this process she will need numerous scans and bloodwork. There is also the possibility that she will need monthly infusions for years to come.

Chris and Robin moved in with my mom and have one car to get her to and from her appointments. Chris also quit his job to be there for her in whatever capacity she needed. While Robin is a fighter and will do everything needed to beat this cancer, relieving the pressure of medical bills and living expenses would help her focus on healing and recovery.
