Help Cecil in the aftermath of Robin’s passing

Donation protected
As Robin and Cecil's youngest daughter, I have always tried to be there for them emotionally, physically and financially as best I can. As have my other siblings. It's the least we can do since they have always been the most loving and supportive parents that anyone could ask for. However, life can sometimes knock you down to the point where outside help is the only answer to ease some of the hardship. We are here to ask for any amount of financial assistance possible from those that it would not burden to do so. Never have we considered asking for help, but at this point, your support will move mountains.

My mother, Robin, has dealt with recurring Vulvar cancer since 1999. Her doctors had always assured her that it was non life threatening.  Although it affected her life negatively, she was always optimistic and continued on as normally as she could after treatments. Years would go by with no cancer. And we always thought we beat it for good. But it would come back again, again and again. About 2 years ago in 2016, after almost 7 years in remission, we thought it was going to be like all the other times. She would have it topically removed & we'd try to recover as fast as possible. But it wasn't like the other times. It was much, much worse.

Robin endured radiation therapy which resulted in a wound that never healed and caused her severe physical pain. Not only that but they also told her that although they THOUGHT this cancer was non-life threatening, she was actually in danger of losing her life very soon unless she had life altering surgery that effects her life to this day. After extensive treatment, we thought the worst was over and that she could find her new normal as best she could. They decided to move to Hawai'i so they could be near their grandson, Ethan, who is five years old.

Unfortunately, she got a swollen leg this past Christmas day, 2018. She said she had finally started to breathe again and let her guard down but this happened. We didn't know how bad it was until it didn't go away for weeks, and she realized it was accompanied by a lump she felt in her thigh. After flying back and forth to O'ahu for tests, they received the news that she indeed had cancer again. She  required radiation again to hopefully shrink the tumor but the placement of the tumor is inoperable.

UPDATE:  Sweet Robin’s treatment didn’t end up working for her. We lost her. A wonderful woman, mother, friend, daughter. Cecil’s partner of 47 years, & now a new phase of life begins. Losing her portion of the social security will be a significant loss every month so we are here, humbly, putting ourselves open to help so that bills, food, rent & transportation can be met! Cecil also endured several hardships to his health recently. He had a severe pneumonia back in March and was in the hospital for a week. Then in June he found out he was experiencing heart failure. They gave him medication that he now takes but they had to do an Angiogram, which he had a terrible reaction to & he suffered a stroke. Now he has after effects of the stroke that prevent him from driving and make him dizzy/pale when he walks around for even just a while. Hopefully that subsides. It's all pretty scary stuff. We all hope he can find a new normal, and without having to be Robin's caretaker anymore, can focus on his own health.

Money will always be used for bills of any kind, food, supplements, transportation, clothes, linens, & toiletries as needed. Thank you.
If you can find the ability to donate even the smallest amount, it would be the biggest honor and we would be eternally grateful.
Thank you for reading our story. Our greatest strength is our love and compassion and in our shared humanity we all need a little help sometimes. Aloha
