Help Robin Ackling Keep Pets Fed and Loved
Donation protected
Hello,
I’m a colleague of Robin Ackling, the dedicated founder of the Bakersfield Pet Food Pantry, which opened its doors to the community in April 2009. The pantry was created to provide pet food to individuals who were receiving food assistance from a local church and soup kitchen in Oildale. What began as a small initiative quickly revealed a much larger need in our community. With Bakersfield’s high unemployment rate and overcrowded animal shelters, many families struggle to feed their beloved pets. Often, they face the heart-wrenching decision of whether to feed themselves or their four-legged companions.
Since its inception, the Bakersfield Pet Food Pantry has worked tirelessly to meet this need by distributing pet food to those in hardship. However, as the economic challenges persist, the demand for our services continues to grow each year. The need is more urgent than ever, and we are reaching out for your help.
Every day, we receive calls from desperate pet owners seeking assistance. Many of our recipients rely on food banks themselves and are unable to afford the basic necessities for their pets. The pantry relies solely on public support, including monetary donations, pet food, and volunteer work, to continue providing this essential service.
Our goal is simple: no family pet should go hungry. However, we are facing a critical challenge—there is a possibility that the pantry may have to close its doors in March. As we approach the end of the year, a contribution to the Bakersfield Pet Food Pantry would be a meaningful gift to Robin Ackling and all those in need within our community. Your support will help ensure that we can continue serving families and their pets who are struggling to make ends meet.
Thank you for considering a donation to this important cause. If you prefer to make your donation online, you can do so through our website here: https://www.bakersfieldpetfoodpantry.org/
P.S. All proceeds will be hand-delivered to Robin Ackling, the president of the non-profit organization, to continue having its doors open to the community.
Thank you for your support!
