Hello All,
I'm attempting to raise funds for medical care for Harley, Robert Davidson's cat. Harley is a 13 year old senior cat that has been chronically ill for at least a year, initially showing signs of vomiting and weight loss (possibly related to Tapeworms) but then progressing to inappetance, chronic licking of his sides and stomach, coughing fits, and now weakness, lethargy, and possibly pain. Today he went to Bridgemill Animal Hospital in Indian Land, SC where they were able to determine he did not have a blockage, but were unable to perform further diagnostics due to his temperament with Veterinarians. Harley needs at a minimum bloodwork, comprehensive X-Rays, and possibly further diagnostics such as MRI or Ultrasound to determine whether his condition is treatable.
Robert is a disabled survivor of the AIDS crisis, and has little money of his own. I personally paid to get him in the door today and we've raised $100 so far to get him in the door tomorrow at Long Animal Hospital in Charlotte. We are looking to raise approximately $100 to get him in the door, approximately $150 for sedation and bloodwork, and approximately $300 for X-Rays, totalling $550. If Humane Euthanasia is the outcome, we expect that to cost around $200. But right now we are just looking at raising enough to get the majority of affordable options for Harley covered. I also will personally continue to help with the costs.
Harley has been Robert's sole friend and companion for over a decade, and he means a great deal to Robert. Please consider helping us help Harley so Robert can have more years with his best friend.
