Deep Cover, Shallow Graves is Robert Tosh Plumlee’s incredible journey through a no-man’s land of political intrigue and secret White House covert military operations. Deep Cover, Shallow Graves is a political minefield of high-level government corruption and top-secret covert military operations. It is a 40-year-plus odyssey of how a man in his autumn years of life finally found the truth he had been searching for—a truth that had always been buried within his being but was hidden by the deep, forbidding shadows of his secret military career.
Robert (Tosh) Plumlee began his military career in 1952, at age fourteen. He forged his birth certificate and joined the Texas National Guard’s 49th Armored Division. Six months later, at age 15, he transferred from the National Guard to the U.S. regular army and took basic training at Fort Bliss, Texas. Because of an incident on a hand grenade range while in basic training, his underage status was discovered, and he was given an honorable discharge from the regular army because of his minority status. He was sent back to Dallas, Texas, his hometown, with the understanding that when he turned 17, he would be allowed to return to regular army status if he obtained his parents' permission. At age 18, he became a contract operative for the CIA and was assigned to the CIA’s Miami WAVE Station's JM/WAVE's Cuban Project.
