Hello: My name is Lavern Austin and my husband and I are both Marines  veterans.  We were taking a trip, had not been on a trip for over 15 years maybe more, trying to rekindle the love after 38 years of marriage.  He got the go from his doctor so we begin to drive from the west coast Henderson NV to the plains Kansas City.  But on our long journey my husband Robert, who has some heart problems and a pace maker got sick with edema in his legs. We were 170 miles from Kansa City, and I had to find a hospital with a Trauma Center quickly.  It was in Wichita KS, we got to the emergency in time his  heart rate was high and his blood pressure was low, his legs were leaking fluid.  They admitted him to MICU and SICU he has been hospitalized for 23 days for a number of issues including  Coronary Heart Disease,  Blood infection in both legs, a blood clot in his left arm, and also newly discovered colorectal issues. He has had 2 surgeries within 72 hours that has removed 40% of his colon, he now has a colostomy bag that is going to be permanent because his heart is to weak to reopen. I have been staying at a hotel because the hospital don't allow visitor, so the cost has been  enormous.  He will be going to a rehab to help him learn how to walk, and get back to some type of normality.  We will be faced with an enormous hospitalization bill is too much to bear. We don't know all the unknown costs to come with my husband, diagnostic testing, rehab clinic, medication, home nurse, wheel chair etc.. I'm here with him but I'm by myself.  Our  life has changed dramatically, and I'm at that point we need help from the community, so if you can please please help us out your donation can help both of us. this is a urgent situation.  If you are unable to donate please share to get this message out.
