ROBERT REDMOND, LEADER /FOUNDER OF DKIFC
My name is Silvia Madison and I am writing on behalf of my friend Robert. Healing should be the only focus when becoming gravely ill. Medical costs continue to skyrocket, so I am asking for help on behalf of Robert and his mounting medical bills.
Background
My friend Robert Redmond suffers from Lymphedema, which has restricted his movement and mobility for years. Recently, a leg infection landed him in the hospital which became a very large wound, measuring 26 inches. While receiving skilled nursing, wound care and facing possible surgery, he suffered a stroke. He was transferred to a skilled nursing facility and receives around the clock care, which includes occupational, physical, and speech therapy (his speech is the area that was hit the hardest). As he learns to regain his skills, there is no projected end date.
Those of you who know Robert as our gentle leader for the DKIFC, Dimash Kudaibergen International Fan Club, are aware of the many hours of love and labor he has given and continues to give from his hospital bed to this group. It is an enormous labor of love, as you can never know how much time and effort go into such an endeavor. His hard work has grown the group from a very small number of us to over 34,000 members in a few years.
How You Can Help
Robert can no longer keep up past medical payments nor continue the expenses of hospitalization and ongoing skilled care facilities. I am asking for donations on his behalf to help with the ongoing medical bills. All donations will go directly to Robert to help defray his medical expenses, past and present. Any amount will be appreciated.
The Costs:
Robert's yearly deductible, $7,000
Approximate skilled nursing 24 hour care, $2,000 per day
Numerous ambulance rides
Daily medication
Ongoing wound care
Possible surgery with post op services
Ongoing therapies to regain his skills
Aftercare
Robert's mobility has been limited for some time, modifications to his wheelchair are not covered.
A man of tremendous faith and heart, please donate any amount you are able to. If you cannot, offer prayers for Robert's renewed health. As a former teacher, he has been struggling to keep up with all medical expenses for some years. On his behalf, he expresses his deep gratitude and cannot thank you enough. I am also grateful for those that weave a circle of love to help our friend.
