Help Robert Rebuild After Tragic Loss

Hello, my name is Robert, and I am a chef by trade. I live in Florida. I'm 48 years old, and I lost everything.

Just 2 months ago, my wife of 24 years of marriage passed away, which was devastating on all aspects: emotional, physical, and financial.

With the recent hurricane's destruction path, I have lost my job and soon the apartment that I rent.

Last night during the hurricane, my car stopped operating fully, and I have no way to fix it. My rent is overdue by two months, and I have no one to turn to.

Most of my family is dead, and the ones that remain simply can't help.

I'm trying to reach out to FEMA, but to no avail.

Believe me when I tell you, I have tried anything and everything to avoid being in this situation, but I constantly come up short or, worse, I fail.

Please understand that this is extremely difficult for me to ask for help; my pride gets in the way.

My rent is $1500, and I need to pay $3000 immediately. The remainder is to pay next month's rent until I find another job.

But the situation is dire, and I genuinely have no one to turn to.
