My brother lost his home and everything in it to a fire last night, along with all of his tools and yard equipment. He is thankfully safe and was able to save his truck, but almost everything else is a total loss. He spent the last decade looking after and taking care of our mom until she moved in with us, and he has been caring for her tiny farm property alone ever since. So now he begins the long, grueling task of cleaning up and trying to salvage whatever he can. Unfortunately he did not have insurance. Anything you can spare will be used to help Robert begin rebuilding both his home and his life.

Robert is a generous person to those he cares about, and fiercely loyal to our mother. He is retired, living on a fixed income, not married and has no partner, so my husband and I will be doing what we can to help him navigate the coming months.
