This is for my husband, Robert Pettit. He is an amazing father to three daughters, one of whom is still living at home. I am disabled, and our daughter is ADHD and autistic. He is our only source of income.
In July 2025, he ruptured his bicep and had to have bicep tendon repair surgery. He is healing well from his bicep surgery. Thank you all for your blessings in this time.
But a few weeks after getting sent back to work on light duty, out of nowhere, the company closed on his day off, and he was not able to even get his things. We applied for unemployment, but due to him being injured, he cannot receive unemployment benefits.
Then, last Tuesday, November 11th, he had the tip of his finger bit off by a dog. Today, November 17th, he will be having surgery to amputate from his first knuckle down on his right hand. The surgery is not the only issue. After the surgery, he will not be able to work due to still being on light duty from the bicep until January and now healing up his amputated finger. All on the right side.
We previously made a GoFundMe to help with his bills from the surgery. We were blessed with almost half of the bills. This one is a little bit more from the heart. We have to live and survive. The fact that my husband is out of work until January puts us in a very rough place. We have done our best and reached out for assistance, and we were blessed with some utility assistance and found food bank assistance. They truly are kind and understanding people, helping as much as they can and even helping load things into our car.
Anything would help us so much. Thank you for any assistance. If you can't, please share, pray, and send good vibes.
