Help Robert on His Road to Recovery

On January 5, 2023, our dear friend Robert suffered from a stroke causing some partial paralysis on the entire left side of his body.

We praise GOD that Cissy acted quickly, and the team at St. David’s Round Rock took immediate care of Robert. He is still there recovering and is spending countless hours in speech, occupational and physical therapy fighting to regain his strength.

The progress Robert has made so far is remarkable! All of the doctors are so very impressed with his determination and how far he has come in such a short time. While we celebrate these successes and praise GOD for Robert’s abilities, we also recognize there will still be a very long road to full recovery.

Robert will need several more months of continuous therapy to regain his abilities. He will have to work with physical and occupational therapists to rebuild the strength to walk, use of his left arm again, and work with speech therapists to regain full speech. While Robert is focusing on healing, he will be unable to work. We are grateful that Cissy will be able to help Robert when he is released from the hospital, but that will also take time away from her job and result in lost income.

During this difficult journey, we want to wrap Robert and Cissy in peace and comfort, and remove any financial strains or burdens they will experience during this road to recovery.

In this unfortunate situation, we have the opportunity to give back to someone who has always been so willing to help others. We have an opportunity to show our love, appreciation and gratitude for Robert’s friendship and support.

We are asking everyone to please keep them in your prayers. For those of you who would be so generous to help monetarily as well, we are accepting donations to cover medical and other living expenses that they will incur. This will help him be able to solely focus his energy on getting better and lighten the financial burdens that are likely to occur.
