Help Robert Johnson Overcome Pancreatic Cancer
Donation protected
We are reaching out today with a heavy heart. Robert Johnson, 40 years old, has been given the heart-wrenching diagnosis of stage 2 pancreatic cancer. This is a battle that no one should face alone. In this challenging time, we seek support to ensure he receives the best possible care and treatment. With his recent diagnosis, Robert went through surgery days later to help save his life.. They performed a Whipple procedure. They removed part of his pancreas, gallbladder, two suspicious looking lymph nodes and part of his stomach and intestines. He remained in the hospital for two weeks after the surgery. While in the hospital, the doctors also diagnosed Robert as a diabetic and a couple of complications arose after surgery. He had some leakage around the surgery site that required extra days in the hospital and was treated with medication. Because of the leakage, he had a small infection that caused him to have a fever. As you can imagine, this was very painful for him. Robert has lost over 120 pounds during all of this. The doctor has estimated a healing time of six to eight weeks then he will start the next step to rid the cancer from his body. Unfortunately, Robert has lost his medical insurance due to not being able to afford Cobra. He has been out of work for the last year and a half while he recovered from two major back surgeries. All medical expenses will be out of pocket.
Rob has been a pillar of strength and positivity and seeing him confront this challenging illness has been heartbreaking. We want to ensure that he has every resource available to fight this battle.
Robert has been sent home from the hospital and is at home recovering for the next six weeks. We pray by then they will have his treatment plan set up for him which will require six months of chemotherapy and possibly radiation.
As you can imagine, this has been hard for Robert and our family.
Rob is facing a hefty financial burden from the hospital bill. Our goal is to support him through these hardships, emotionally and financially. We’re asking our families and friends to help Rob pay for the hospital bills as well as continuing to support himself. If you can find it in your heart to donate, our family would appreciate it. We understand times are difficult for everyone and if you can’t donate, will you please keep him in your prayers.
We appreciate all the love and support we have felt.
God Bless You,
On behalf of the Johnson Family
