Today we lost one of the best men I've ever known. I lucky enough to call him my brother! I have a hole in my heart that will never be able to be filled I have no arrangements yet I will keep you all posted. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul for your kindness, love and generosity!
❤️ Help Robert Jenkins Get Back on the Transplant List ❤️ He suffered a major setback.
Robert’s Story
My name is Elizabeth Jenkins-Adams, and my brother Robert Jenkins is facing the biggest battle of his life — he needs a heart transplan.
Update..
Right now, Robert is at North Shore University Hospital, fighting for his life after suffering a major setback. Three weeks ago, he had a stroke, which caused him to lose use of his left side and be removed from the transplant list. As you can imagine, this was a major blow to Rob — he lost a lot of hope and his resolve is being tested.

The Setback
Doctors told us he needed to be event-free for two weeks before they could do a CT scan to see if he had healed enough to be re-listed. Robert never gave up — he worked every day to regain movement and strength. But just one day before his re-evaluation, he suffered a brain bleed.
He lost movement in all his limbs, had trouble speaking and seeing, and is now confined to the hospital — still fighting every single day to stay strong through this unimaginable challenge.
Some days, he barely has the strength to get up, and he’s beginning to lose strength and hope. But even on the hardest days, he keeps trying.
Please pray and send positive thoughts and messages his way. He may not always be able to respond, but we read every single message to him — and they lift his spirits more than words can say.

Why We’re Asking for Help
We’ve been told that some state assistance may be available, but it’s still months away. Meanwhile, his medical bills and living expenses continue to grow. I want to relieve some of that burden so Robert can focus all his energy on healing and recovery.
Robert would never ask for help himself — he’s far too proud — so I’m asking for him. My only goal is to make sure he not only survives this but thrives once he’s on the other side.

Would you like me to make a short opening paragraph version too (for the GoFundMe preview section or when sharing the link on Facebook)? It should be around 3–4 sentences and really grab attention.
