Hello, my name is Michelle Bertges. I am raising money for my brother, Robert Bertges. On April 29th, 2025, he was hit by a car and was life-flighted to Allegheny General Hospital. He was put on a ventilator. He has multiple fractures to his pelvis, a broken arm, a collapsed lung, and bleeds on his brain. He has since been taken off the ventilator and has made it out of surgery. He is non-weight-bearing on his legs for 6 to 8 weeks. He is now awake and talking but is confused and having a hard time remembering some things. I've had some help with paying a few of his bills this month, but he has a couple more things that need to be paid, and I unfortunately cannot cover the costs at this time. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him. He is so strong and handling everything pretty well. My brother and I are super close, and I have been trying to help him as much as I can over the years. We don't know what the future looks like for him, but I will always be there. Any little bit will help. Thank you!
