Help Robert and Rhonda Rebuild Their Home
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Community,
On Sunday, June 2nd, an F3 tornado tore through Sanderson, Texas, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. Among those impacted was the home of my parents, Robert and Rhonda Salazar. This home, a labor of love and countless hours of hard work, was not just a house but a gathering place for our community.
The exterior and roof of their home have been severely damaged. The brand-new windows and siding, which my dad had meticulously installed, were completely destroyed. While we were hopeful for FEMA assistance, they said population size isn't big enough to declare a disaster. There may be some help from local grants and donations, but we know it will not cover the unique enhancements and improvements my dad has passionately added over the years.
My parents are Detroit Proud and Sanderson Strong. They know grit and the labor of hard work. Robert has put his blood, sweat, and tears into creating a space that many in the Sanderson community have enjoyed for gatherings and special moments. Now, they need our help to rebuild and restore their now unlivable home.
We are reaching out to you, our friends, family, and community, to ask for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping Robert and Rhonda rebuild their home and restore the gathering place we all cherish.
Please consider donating if you can, and if you can't, please share this message with others. Together, we can help them get back on their feet.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
Sincerely,
JoAnna & Robert David
