UPDATE: I want to let you all know that Robert doesn't have much longer with us here on earth because of this cancer. Its gone so fast and I just don't understand it. He was such a fighter and still is. Possibly only a couple of more weeks which is tearing me and my family apart. This just isn't fair! I found out yesterday that we have his service covered after his passing which is a blessing and I love them for it. It was one of his wishes that family and friends came together in Sidney at one of the funeral homes to remember him and its happening. However, we still need your donations. As many of you know, Robert was the breadwinner of the family as I am on disability and so is his son due to his Asperger's diagnosis. That doesn't get you far unfortunately. I am up for repo with my only car pretty soon and don't have enough to move into a cheaper place if I have to, also with paying utilities and other bills that come with every family. If you could help out in any way you can it would be much appreciated. I really need all of the help I can get. I don't want to put my children through this struggle. At least until I can figure things out and to where we are stable on our feet. Robbie wants us to be ok and I know we will its just going to take us time. Please everyone, anything would help. I really love all of you and the ones that have donated something. You don't know how much this all means to me.
On Thursday Feb. 20, 2025 Robert was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer (very aggressive). His Oncologist with OSU James Cancer Center in London, Ohio recommended that he stop working and apply for disability due to all the treatment he will be going through over the next few months. The money collected from this fund will go toward every day costs like gas, food, utility bills, rent, and our car payment and any other assistance needed for him and our family. He doesn't have a life insurance policy either but we are not going to think about that at all yet. Robert is a former Corrections Officer with the state of Ohio at Pickaway Correctional Institute in Orient, Ohio. He was recently employed at O’Reilly Auto Parts in London, Ohio. The discovery of his cancer happened in an odd and peculiar way. He had been complaining of back pain for about eight months, his family doctor was trying to get an MRI scheduled and his insurance was denying him all along the way. While visiting his father in Arizona he was very tired, lethargic and didn’t eat much. He contacted me on the fact that his left foot was dragging a little and that he could not run. I suggested that he weigh himself. The last time he weighed himself he weighed 163 lbs, this time is was 151 lbs. That’s a weight loss of 10 pounds in two weeks. She ordered him to go to the ER in Arizona, but he had already taken off from Phoenix. Upon his arrival back into Ohio, the next day he went to the ER and the rest is as they say, history! The next step is a PET SCAN at Madison Hospital on Thursday Feb. 27, 2025, then a liver biopsy due to a lesion on his liver to rule out cancer in his liver, an MRI of his head to make sure nothing neurologically has affected his brain. Then soon after Radiation and Chemotherapy Treatment. Robbie plans on fighting this the entire way for his grandson Atreus and his nephew Malachi. He will have 100% support from me in which I am currently disabled and cannot work myself, his daughter and son. Without his income it is not possible to be financially stable. Please, if you can find it in your heart to donate anything it will positively go to what is needed for him and to keep him comfortable. If you could share this with as many of your friends and family as well it would be appreciated. Please keep us all in your prayers as we go through this very difficult time. This is all a shock to us. HE IS A FIGHTER!!!
