Help Robert Adopt a Service Dog

My partner Robert has faced many challenges due to physical disabilities, PTSD and being a Marine Corps Vet, which have made daily life and public outings difficult. For 12 years, his service dog Star was by his side, offering not just practical help but also comfort and companionship. Star helped Robert navigate the world, pick up dropped items, and provided a sense of security in public. Sadly, Star passed away from cancer on 8/30/2025, leaving a huge gap in Robert’s life and making daily activities much more difficult and isolating.

We are now working with Canine Angels to adopt a specially trained service dog for Robert. This new companion will help him regain his independence, feel safer outside the home, and participate more fully in everyday life. The dog will assist with tasks like picking up items and helping prevent people from approaching him unexpectedly, which is especially important for Robert’s PTSD.

The adoption process is a big step, and we’re reaching out for help to cover the costs. Every contribution brings us closer to giving Robert the support and freedom he deserves. Thank you for being part of this journey and helping us make a real difference in his life.
