Help Robby Coyle With Medical Expenses

Donation protected

Our good friend Robby Coyle was in a bad accident late Friday night. I don’t have much information other than updates from his sister that I will post here. Robby is such a great friend to everyone, he truly would do anything for anybody. In his time of need I would love for his friends and family to come together and help him as he has helped so many others. All donations will go to his medical bills and his bills at home as he obviously will not be working for awhile. I will also be selling drink coozies and possibly t-shirts if there is enough interest, and all profits will go to him.

Here are the updates from Robby’s sister:

I am so thankful of the outpouring of prayers and well wishes for Robby Coyle. Robby has so many incredible friends. I want to try to update as many people at one time as I can. So here are the first two updates.

He was in a car accident around midnight today.

Update #1 - Saturday, March 7th @4:30 am

Update:
-Multiple fractures: pelvis, both ankles
-internal bleeding
-damage to right kidney
-right lung bruised
-CT scan showed POSSIBLE blood around brain

He is in surgery now to repair his open fracture to his left ankle. After that they will be opening up his stomach to look at the internal bleeding. They may have to remove part of his intestines and/or possibly right kidney. His blood pressure is really low( which is very odd for him, who has extremely high bp ) He will be on a ventilator during surgery and kept on it after surgery, with sedation. He will require multiple surgeries after.

Update #2 - Saturday, March 6th @ 11am

I just got off the phone with Robby’s Doctor.

His surgery went really well!

-They removed the right side of his colon. (It had too much trama.) He will have no long term effects from this.

-he does have injuries to his liver, large intestine, small intestine, kidneys. The doctor is hopeful that these injuries will heal.

-With his blood pressure being low, they don’t want to close up any injuries with his intestines. The reason being that once his blood pressure returns to normal, it could cause tears in his intestines. So they are opting to leave his abdomen open until his blood pressure goes up. This should take about 24 hours. She said to probably expect him to go back into surgery tomorrow morning to get closed up.

-They gave him a unit of blood and he may need another tomorrow.

-They washed out his left ankle and put the bone back into place. He will need further surgery’s on his left and right ankle.

-They found multiple pelvic fractures, some will require further surgery.

He is being kept on a ventilator, sedated and lots of pain meds flowing.

At some point today he will be getting a clearer CT scan on his brain to check on that possible small blood around his brain. They will also be doing a CT scan on his ankles, to get a better understanding of what’s going on there. He will also be getting a chest x-ray.

PLEASE keep the prayers coming! This surgery was a HUGE win and step forward but he has a long road to go.
