Help Robbie Zuel Beat Leukemia: Time is Critical

Robert Zuel—known lovingly as Robbie to his friends and family—is in a fight for his life after being diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He is not just my daughters husband; he is the father of their two beautiful children, ages 6 and 2, and their world revolves around him.

Robbie has been battling cancer with unimaginable courage and strength since his diagnosis in July 2024. After enduring multiple rounds of intense chemotherapy, which have successfully prepared his body, and he will receive Car T cell therapy February 19, 2025. Studies have shown Car T cell therapy to be very successful in treating B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Once this therapy has been completed, Robert will go on to prepare for bone marrow transplant. His oncologist has informed us bone marrow transplant will be a difficult treatment for him to endure, but will be necessary in order to keep him fully in remission.

This GoFundMe page was created in hopes that you can help us share Robbie’s story. His family is trying to balance maintaining the normal bills they had before his diagnosis turned their lives upside down and while being off work. At times, especially before certain procedures. Robert has daily/weekly specialty appointments that require high dollar co-pays and he has required many specialty high dollar medications in order to treat his illness.

Robbie has battled insurance throughout this process, which has brought a lot of unneeded extra stress during an already extremely stressful time for our family. I believe that bringing attention to his situation could make a difference—not just for him, but for the countless others navigating these same struggles.
