Help Robbie Rebuild After Unimaginable Setbacks

My name is Robbie. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would find myself in a situation to ask for help. I lost my job of eleven years and have been unemployed for a year now. This is the longest I've been unemployed since I was 16. I had been holding it together by doing odd jobs while steadily applying within my career field. Slowly, my savings got chipped away until it was depleted. Then the unimaginable began to happen. I got into an accident which totaled my Ford Escape. I figured it wasn't the end of the world because I had my van and my Jeep to keep me going to interviews. In the same week, I had my van getting repaired at the shop, and my Jeep's engine seized. I went from having my Escape totaled, my van in the shop, and my Jeep being a goner.
I literally rode my 10-speed to the grocery store to get milk. I started looking for a used vehicle. I found a 2008 Grand Caravan with 96,000 miles on it. I thought this was too good to be true! They wanted $5,000 for it, and I was over the moon. I went and test-drove it on the expressway, and it drove like a dream. I pulled what I had left in my 401k to buy it and save myself. Three days later, I hear a loud knocking sound that sounds all too familiar. You guessed it. It needs a new engine. I can take a lot of things, but I am at my wit's end. I sit here and think of what has happened to me in such a short period of time, and well, all I can do is marvel at the situation. I'm about to switch careers. I'm doing my best to not let my 14-year-old and my 9-year-old feel or even know just how serious of a situation we are in. Both my girls are in the top 10% in their educational journey. It broke my heart not being able to pay for her Summer Rhoads Scholar program. I'm humbly asking for help. I will be training in my new career for the next month, which means that I won't start making the money that will get me back on my feet for a while. I have helped many people throughout life. I'm asking for help.
