Help Robbie Race!

Hi! I’m asking on behalf of my little brother, Robbie, for some help with his kart. As you may know, my brother not only loves karting… he’s really freaking good at it! Last weekend, his exhaust blew up during a race. The cost of a new exhaust, coupled with new tires, and some other fees is making his ability to compete seem bleak. Please read his story below and consider donating!

“I just started driving shifter karts which are a massive step up from what I’ve driven before. From the first time I got in one, I impressed immediately. My parents were both amazed at what they saw and they sold everything for me to be able to competitively race. I have been competing in the F Series State Championship this year, trying to make a name for myself and take another step forward in the racing world. Ever since the first event of the season, people were surprised with how quickly I was able to adapt and learn about shifter kart racing. I was able to go out to national events and beat national championships within only a few months of driving. I am leading the State Championship by a significant margin, making great connections and earning peoples respect along the way. Unfortunately, this past weekend wasn’t as smooth sailing as normal. On the first couple laps of the race, my exhaust split and practically blew apart, causing me to lose a lot of power in the motor and consequently get disqualified from the race after finishing 2nd place. This meant that we needed to purchase a new exhaust, but when we saw the price we knew that we wouldn’t be able to afford it. This weekend is one of, if not the biggest race in the Northeast, and it’s what we have been looking at trying to do all year. This race is the “big leagues” compared to what I’ve been already doing, and I’ve been looking forward to this event since I started racing. It’s a shame, I have been working my tail off all year on perfecting my craft for this race. We had already been struggling all year financially due to throwing ourselves in the deep end just so I can pursue what I love to do, and we’ve finally reached the end of what we can afford. In order to continue racing and do this race, I am asking for ANY support that anyone can give. As most people wouldn’t expect, racing is an extremely expensive sport where normally money wins over skill, but I am trying to defy those odds. The rest of the season is going to be very difficult to finish, as the new exhaust, sets of tires, gallons of fuel, and any other parts needed add up in price real quick. As a way of showing my gratitude, at the end of the season, anyone who donates will get their name put on my gas tank as a way of showing my appreciation and I will be running with it all of next year.
