Hello, my name is Kelly Rinaldi Galindo and I am Way Hoyt’s assistant. Since the story first aired last night (5/20/21) at 11pm we have received an overwhelming amount of feedback, many people suggested a gofundme page to help this hard working 74 year old man buy new generators and tools, so here we are! I’ve also included pictures of the perpetrator and a link to the news story, after all- this is about catching the thief. I urge you, if you recognize this man, please contact Oakland Park PD. A little back story on Way: He was in tree care business for over 45 years where he acquired copious amounts of exotic and unique woods. The past few years Way and his son, Robert, have focused on building their wood business, Florida Urban Wood. They mill all the wood Way has accumulated over the years, making their lumber business 100% sustainable. Way is one the hardest working people I’ve ever met, not to mention the sweetest man ever. He did not deserve this.
