Help Rob With His Vehicle
Donation protected
As many of you know, over the course of the last year my family went through a lot of stuff. My sisters had some things happen which I went to visit them, but the majority of it happened to my dad. The list of things (which feels crazy to write it all out) includes
- Involved in a highway accident (as pictured)
- Got dizzy standing up a bit after the accident and fell
- Someone ran a stop sign and hit him
- Admitted to hospital for pneumonia
As the nearest child to him, I spent a lot of time driving in checking on him, taking him to appointments, to the hospital, etc. during which I put a massive amount of mileage on my vehicle (and spent I don't know how much on gas). As the result of this my vehicle has begun to break down and while it can still be used here in town it's no longer safe for highway driving. This isn't just limited for me personally (I'm in the process of hopefully getting approved for TMS which will require me to drive into the city multiple times) but also for my ability to care for my dad.
The quote for repair is $6000, which I still need to weigh what will be better - to repair it or to scrap it and find a new (used) vehicle) - but either way I once again need to ask for help.
I wish social media would just pay Canadians like they do everyone else then I wouldn't need to ask for help. But as the government is failing to stand up for Canadian creators this feels like my only option.
