On behalf of the Charleston Firefighters Association, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our followers and friends. This past June, your Charleston Firefighters took an important step forward in protecting our members by participating in cancer screenings. It was during this time that one of our brothers was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

Brother Rob Tackett is the definition of a fireman’s fireman—the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back and insist you keep it. Now, he needs our help as he navigates the road ahead. Rob has been traveling back and forth to Ohio to develop a treatment plan, and this week he will return for surgery to remove part of his thyroid.

We humbly ask for your support in easing some of the financial burden of travel.
