My name is Andrew. I started this fundraiser for my good friend Rob. He was in a serious car accident on May 17th in Brimfield, MA. He was coming home from an appointment at the VA in Leeds, MA, and the roads were pretty wet and visibility wasn't so good. Ultimately, his vehicle went off the road and flipped several times into the woods. This man is lucky to be alive. He broke his neck, his collarbone, his back, his leg, 5 ribs, and had some internal bleeding. He remains in the ICU at Springfield.

An angel was watching over him that day, and it's because he has the biggest heart that I know of in a man. As a veteran, he's helped me in a lot of ways, mentally and by helping me with rides to and from that same hospital, to visit my kids, while I was in the hospital. My kids got to know him, and he became like an uncle. He is such a good friend, and he's not only sacrificed his life for his country, he's given his time, his heart, and his kindness to not only my kids and me, but everyone he meets. His heart is big.
