HELP SAVE OUR HOME AFTER ROB'S MEDICAL NEGLECT.

Hello, I am Mandy, the wife of Rob Hancock. We married on 01/01/2020 and made plans to spend the next few years working on a business idea that would include some adventure, some travel, and some meeting of new people. However, Rob ran into some trouble with our local Sheriff's Department over a missed court payment. That's when our lives began to take a horrible turn.

Our family is facing a crisis that never should have happened. We are reaching out for help as Rob fights for his life and health following severe medical neglect during his recent incarcerations.

In November 2024, while in custody for 26 days, Rob began vomiting blood. Despite requests for help, he was ignored. Two days after his release, he was rushed to the ER with sepsis and 3 cysts on his pancreas, one of which had ruptured. He was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis—a condition that requires strict medical management.

Tragically, history repeated itself in late 2025. Despite my constant calls and emails to the Sheriff’s Department providing his medical history and medication lists, and their previous knowledge of his condition, Rob was denied hospital care for 10 days. He was told he simply had "heartburn" while his body was failing. By the time he was finally rushed to the hospital on October 9th, Rob was malnourished, dehydrated, and septic. He had developed a new cyst and fluid in his chest lining that damaged his left lung.

The damage is now permanent. Rob is now insulin-dependent for the first time in his life and must take expensive enzymes just to digest food. He has lost over 40 pounds and lives in constant, debilitating pain.

How Your Donations Will Help.

Rob can no longer work, and I have become his full-time caregiver. We are struggling to stay afloat while we seek a civil rights and malpractice attorney to hold those responsible accountable.

Currently, our needs are urgent:

Medications: One vital prescription is $600 out-of-pocket; another is $165.

Specialist Travel: We travel 8 hours to see his specialist. Because we cannot afford a hotel, we sleep in our car during these trips.

Monthly Copays: Rob sees 6 different doctors monthly, with copays ranging from $35 to $75 each.

Basic Survival: Our power has been shut off multiple times. We are struggling to afford food, fuel for medical trips, and the nutritional shakes Rob requires three times a day.

We are not people who usually ask for help; we are usually the ones giving, but we have reached our breaking point. Any amount—even $5—goes directly toward Rob’s medications and keeping our lights on. If you cannot donate, please share our story. We need to focus on Rob’s healing and seeking justice for the neglect he suffered.
