At the start of 2026, just as we were preparing for the upcoming season, Rob unfortunately had to undergo emergency surgery to amputate part of his foot. After four weeks of recovery, just as things seemed to be improving, he has now been readmitted to hospital. The infection from the previous surgery was not fully contained, and doctors are now facing the possibility of having to remove his entire foot if intensive intravenous antibiotics are unsuccessful.
This would mean a much longer and more challenging road to recovery.
Being self-employed and running a small business on his own, Rob has no income while he is in hospital and recovering. This puts both the business and day-to-day household finances under serious strain. Meg is doing everything she can to hold things together, but she is facing her own battles with chronic health conditions and has been declared unfit to work. Despite this, she is juggling the business, managing the household, and trying to keep up with bills.
To make matters even harder, their car now needs significant repairs — something they could really do without right now.
We are asking for any support you can give during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter how small, will help ease the financial pressure and allow Rob to focus on recovery, while helping Meg keep everything afloat.
Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and generosity — it truly means the world.
