Help Rob recover after Covid, homelessness and Car Troubles

Hello. I'm Rob. 55, father of 4. Class of 88, US Army veteran. I had Covid and pneumonia, went to ICU and got behind on everything. I chose my car to live in once I was asked to leave my apartment. Then car broke down 3 times since February. Hundreds just in towing and lot fees. I now have major issues with transmission.

I was reluctant to do this. A last resort before I reach point of no return and lose just about everything. I can find, nor see no other way unless I do something . I've exhausted every resource, 2nd job I just got, won't solve this in time. If you can't assist I understand, I'm aware times we live in. I hope you can forward, even if you can't assist. I appreciate anything anyone can do, I've become extremely unwell physically and mentally over this, it's all consuming last few weeks. I'm still dealing with long Covid on top of it all. I need to be able to breathe and relax again, this would get things going In right direction.

I'll be brief as possible. This situation began in Sept, I got Covid and pneumonia, went intl ICU. I lost all sick time, unpaid after a week. I was on tight budget, getting behind was a huge blow. I sustained apartment until January when it became unmanageable, I had to give up apartment of 8 yrs. I chose car over apartment, I need car for everything including work and picking up kids. I no sooner left apartment car broke down several times since February. First alternator, O2 sensor, then serpentine belt and pulley. I invested so much into it I also had towing charges, and lot fees after town towed car off the road before I got friend to tow it, 2 weeks later after latest breakdown, I've been paying $70 a day for rental. I've paid out pocket and can't do it any longer. I just find out it's part of transmission, I have to once again, tow somewhere that can do the work. Costly work. This of course is last straw. I've gotten behind on everything due to repairs, rental car and towing costs. Storage is due to be overlocked and auctioned, if I don't get car repaired asap I can lose both jobs. I've exhausted every option. I sold anything of value, took every hour at work. I'm usually self sufficient this has gone beyond my ability to keep up. It's a Domino effect, 1 thing is leading to another, and all about to fall. This is effecting every aspect of my existence. I'm making payments, getting a new car is not an option. It's been a great car until this year. I wouldn't be putting this here if I wasn't at critical stage. I've lost everything once before, 10 yrs ago, I don't want to go through it again. I will never recover this time, once it's gone.

I know many are struggling, some worse than I am, I'm not forgetting that. I have nothing but compassion for everyone, strangers included. I just want to get back on my feet, car up and running right and secure a new place to live. I lived in car, so this is everything and my ability to work and pick up kids.
