My name is Lauren, and I’m raising funds to help my friend Rob — a devoted single dad in our community — keep his two daughters housed, fed, and safe this December.
Rob was unexpectedly laid off from his job several months ago. Since then, he has done everything he can to stay afloat: applying for programs, reaching out to city and county resources, and receiving temporary help from his church. Unfortunately, his unemployment ran out and programs are out of funds until January.
This week, things reached a breaking point. Rob was told he would be facing eviction if he couldn’t pay his past-due rent immediately. His daughters were asking if they could decorate their Christmas tree — and Rob gently told them they might need to wait. Later, he explained it was because he didn’t know if they would even still be in their home. No parent should have to have that conversation with their children.
They are in need covering December rent, groceries, warm clothes for the girls, and basic necessities.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
• December rent
• Warm clothes for the girls since they outgrew their current sizes
Rob is actively looking for work and has a Strong background in financial sales and the mortgage industry, but he is open to anything that will help him provide for his daughters.
Any amount helps — truly. Whether it’s $5, $10, a share, or a kind message, it all makes a difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping this sweet family stay safe in their home and give the girls a chance to feel hopeful this Christmas.
