Help Rob Heal and Cover Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Ashley. On Friday, April 18th at 9:30 pm, I got a terrifying phone call from my other half, Rob, that he had laid his bike down because of a chain of events that happened in front of him. Normally, we’re too proud to ask for anything more than we can ever afford to pay back, but due to the circumstances, we need a little help if that’s at all possible.

Rob broke his scaphoid bone, which in most cases needs surgery so it doesn’t cause necrosis, and though he is stubborn, he’s gonna need to go to appointments and get into an orthopedic doctor to make sure we get it healed properly. His shoulder is also almost certainly broken, but due to having no insurance, he only qualified for trauma panels, and they didn’t go much further into imaging.

On top of being injured and unable to go back to work for a little while, with Florida’s laws, since it was because someone locked up their brakes and he hit them from behind, he also has a ticket that we have to cover. Normally, I would be able to pick up the slack; however, with normal monthly bills and other medical bills for the kids, the incoming newly racked up bills are going to be a bit much for us to handle. Not to mention, if there’s a lot of damage to the other vehicle because it was from behind, we are responsible for that also.

Update:

He went back to the hospital today 4/22 and they replaced the splint he was originally given and put hard plaster casting underneath. This will hold until we can get him into an orthopedic doctor hopefully .
