On May 10, 2022, our beloved Dad, husband, Papa & friend had a major stroke while working in the yard on his bobcat. He was taken to Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, where they were able to administer a “clot busting” medication (TPA), for which we are thankful, but the stroke still had significant impact on his brain, leaving him with full left sided paralysis. He spent two days in the ICU for close monitoring and is now in an acute care unit, which is a step down from ICU. He will remain there until he is ready to move to the acute inpatient rehab center which is onsite at the same hospital. While he is there, he will have extensive therapy sessions to work on his mobility, speech and many other aspects. We are hopeful that can happen sometime next week. His road to recovery will be long but we are prayerful that he will progress daily.

We ask that you would please keep Rob, Cindy and the rest of our family in your prayers. They aren’t usually ones to ask for help, but right now, Mom & Dad need all the support we can give them - prayers, time, financial, etc as they undergo this challenging time. Being a working man, whose livelihood depends on his hands, not having two functional hands will mean no income during what will be a several month road to rehabilitation. We would love to rally around them and ease the financial burden of a long term hospitalization so they can focus all of their energy on healing.
