Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our good friend Rob. We are his friends and co-workers who have come to know and love him like family. My own family has even spent time with Rob and his daughter, enjoying many beautiful summer days together at the lake.
Rob has bravely faced his medical challenges with a strong and stoic demeanor. Rob is a Type 1 Diabetic, so he is no stranger to healthcare. He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer last year and underwent a whipple procedure to mitigate the cancer. Recently however he has learned that despite the treatments, the cancer has spread to his liver. In spite of his health issues and treatment, he has missed very little work, trying to conserve his sick leave and PTO for hospitalizations. However, this battle is taking a toll on him. Rob's medical journey has included several unexpected turns and new challenges. As treatment continues, his strength is beginning to wane. The side effects of chemotherapy and other treatments make each 12-hour shift increasingly difficult to endure.
We know Rob would never ask for help himself, so we are reaching out on his behalf. Please consider donating whatever you can, whether it’s a little or a lot. If you are unable to contribute financially, we kindly ask that you share this link and encourage your generous friends to consider donating to Rob as well. Our goal is to enable Rob to rest after his infusions and during the times when he doesn’t feel well enough to work. We want to alleviate his worry about the growing medical and living expenses that accumulate as he fights this battle against cancer.
