Hi, I’m Rob Buck. I’m 33 years old, currently working at my local movie theater, and in my spare time, I podcast, voice act, and roll dice in weekend D&D games.

My wife, Bridgette, just graduated from Ivy Tech and landed her dream job as a chocolatier at Cloud Walking Café in South Bend. We’ve both been working hard to get on stable footing and build a future together.

I’m trying to raise funds to get my car back from repossession, or if that becomes impossible, to secure a reliable vehicle to keep our lives moving forward.

Earlier this year, I was laid off from my previous job at an industrial bakery and was unemployed from September through December. During that time, I fell behind on my $300 biweekly car payments. I stayed in touch with my lender and did everything I could to keep them informed, but ultimately, I missed about 8 payments.

I was fortunate to find my current job at the movie theater — a place I genuinely love working. It’s a healthier environment, with room to grow and build a career. But the transition came with a pay cut, and now I’m paid biweekly instead of weekly. It's been a difficult adjustment financially.

And now, just as things were beginning to feel like they were turning around… my car was repossessed.

I'm looking for a starting goal of $3,500, which is not the amount that I owe, but rather me taking into account daily storage fees that can accumulate and bring me farther away from a solution.

The timing couldn’t be worse. My wife has just started her new job and now has to depend on others for rides. I’m doing everything I can to fix this, but we can’t do it alone.
