My name is Stephanie and I have the privilege of working with Trish. Over the years we have become not only coworkers but best friends. Trish and her husband Rob are two of the most caring and generous people and would never hesitate to help someone in need.

When I learned about the fire that destroyed their home my heart broke for them. They lost almost everything in a matter of minutes and are now facing months of uncertainty and hardship. I created this GoFundMe because I want to make sure they do not have to face this alone.

On Saturday December 6th 2025 Rob and Tricia lived through a nightmare no family should ever experience.

They were over an hour away at a hockey game supporting Robs son Ben when their neighbor called to say their home was on fire. They rushed out immediately terrified for their animals and praying for a miracle.

The fire department arrived in under five minutes but despite their quick response the damage was catastrophic. When Rob and Tricia returned they found their house destroyed their belongings memories and sense of safety gone in an instant. Smoke and structural damage caused by an electrical fire inside the wall mean they will not be able to return home for nearly a year.

By some miracle all five of their pets 2 dogs and 3 cats survived.

But the animals were exposed to heavy smoke and veterinary care is needed to ensure there is no internal damage from the fire.

Right now Rob and Tricia are staying in a hotel with no secure place to live.

Both of them work remote which is not possible in their current situation adding major strain to an already devastating loss.

This tragedy also comes just months before their daughters wedding a time that should be filled with joy and celebration instead of stress uncertainty and financial hardship.

As they begin the long process of working with the insurance company a process that is slow uncertain and emotionally exhausting costs will rise daily from temporary housing to clothing food pet supplies and replacing basic essentials. All of this is happening right before Christmas making an already heartbreaking situation even harder.

Rob has always given back to the community through extensive volunteer work. Now he and Tricia need our communities help.
