Help Rob and Kat Through a Life-Saving Journey
Donation protected
At Canyon Rigging, we consider our team to be more than just employees — we are a family. Today, we are reaching out to ask for your help for two very special members of that family: Robert Vollans and his wife, Katarzyna Pacanowka.
Rob has been a dedicated part of our crew since October 2022. Over the past few months, however, Rob has had to step away from work to care full-time for his wife, Kat, whose health has taken a devastating turn.
Three years ago, Kat was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and has been unable to work since. In February 2025, her condition worsened dramatically when both of her kidneys began to fail. She now requires dialysis three times a week and constant care — care that Rob provides selflessly and lovingly.
Kat’s only chance at survival is a liver transplant. On June 24, 2025, they will find out if she qualifies. If she is approved, they will have just four hours to get to Edmonton for the surgery. Following the transplant, they will need to stay in Edmonton for at least three months while Kat recovers.
With neither Rob nor Kat able to work — Kat for the past three years and Rob for the last three months — the financial burden has become overwhelming. They are facing mounting bills: living expenses, medical prescriptions, special dietary needs, and more. The stress is immense, and they need a hand.
Gregg and Debbie Hampton, the owners of Canyon Rigging, have generously committed to covering Rob and Kat’s housing expenses during their stay in Edmonton. But we are calling on our extended community — our valued customers, suppliers, and professional partners — to help ease the load during this incredibly difficult time.
We are raising funds to:
-Pay down existing debt
-Cover ongoing living expenses and medical needs
-Provide a cushion for the months ahead, including the recovery period post-transplant (which could last 3 to 12 months)
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Please join us in supporting Rob and Kat as they fight for her life. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to them — and to all of us at Canyon Rigging.
Thank you for helping us take care of our own.
