When lawmakers, established organizations, and billionaires attempted to erase women from law and policy, women stepped up. Not big public charities such as NOW —they bought into the lie that supporting men who say they have a female “gender identity” is more important than advocating for the rights of half the population. Other, more reputable groups, such as Women’s Liberation Front and WDI USA , stepped in to fill the void.
Now, local grassroots women’s groups have formed, bringing together women from all backgrounds who aren’t afraid to speak this fundamental truth: sex exists. And pretending men are women risks the past century of women’s rights progress, as well as our society’s connection to reality itself.
We watched the Biden administration remove women’s protections under Title IX while mediocre men stole athletic opportunities from talented female athletes. We watched men placed in women’s prisons rape and terrorize them with nothing but silence from the legacy media. We watched lesbian mainstays, like Henrietta’s and Cubbyhole, abandon their principles and cater to straight male fetishists. We watched public schools teach children it’s possible to be “born in the wrong body,” setting them up for a lifetime of misery, confusion, and unnecessary cosmetic procedures that make the pharmaceutical industry millions of dollars at the expense of their health and happiness.
And now, we’ve had enough. Enough already!
Enter ROAR Women NYC. Our goal is to restore women’s community to the NYC metro area. This city is supposed to be a bastion of women’s progress. Now we can’t call ourselves ‘women’ because a group of men decided they wanted the word instead. What happened?
We started as a small group of like-minded, dissident women, and have grown big enough to set roots in the city. Our website and X page track our progress, from designing messaging that tells the city we’re here and we see what’s happening, to calls to action reminding law and policy makers they’ve abandoned women once again, to protests and rallies held in service of women both near and far.
While our opponents get massive institutional support, we rely on the grassroots support of everyday people like you. Whether you are ready to speak out with us, or worried that doing so will put your livelihood at risk, we will stand up for women’s rights on your behalf. Donating to ROAR is a fantastic way to make a tangible difference and create the women’s community our city dearly needs.
If ROAR reaches a fundraising goal of $500, we can:
- Host protests and rallies, such as the November 1st protest supporting German women after Germany’s self-ID law erased them out of policy.
- Keep our website and mailing list running, informing women of local women’s rights developments nationally and locally, as well as updates on our actions.
- Donate pads to support NYC women in need, fighting period poverty.
If ROAR reaches a fundraising goal of $5000, we can:
- Open our online store, helping us sustain ourselves without having to rely on donations, and providing materials for other dissident women to express their views.
- Afford better administrative tools to make our Calls to Action easier to use.
- Rent rooms for closed women-only events, such as lesbian socials, discussion groups for mothers, and a feminist lecture series.
If ROAR reaches a fundraising goal of $50,000, we can:
- Provide part-time employment for women whose staunch women’s rights advocacy has made it harder for them to find jobs.
- Start looking for a suitable office space for ROAR Women NYC. This will help us establish a stable pro-woman presence in NYC, as well as let us host more women-only events.
- Support projects with a positive impact on the local women’s community, such as nonprofit feminist bookstores, female-only domestic violence shelters, and services providing mental health care to young people harmed by gender ideology.
