Help Road To Refuge Expand!

1/22/2021 Just to update everyone: we’ve purchase the new land! Our goal now is to develop it. We need two new barns, and TONS of fencing. We would like to have a cow barn, goat barn and then turn the existing barn and pasture into our special needs barn by the time baby peaches moves outside Can you help us do this for Peaches?! Hi everyone! Megan, from R2R here. We have been given the most AMAZING opportunity, but we need your help! We have recently found out that the 4 acres of land adjoining our current property has been put on the market for sale! This means that if we are able to purchase this land, we will have 10 ACRES total!

As some of you may have seen, we recently rescued a 3 day old bull calf, who we've named  Jack Daniels, affectionatley known as"JD" from a terrible situation.  He was a product of the dairy industry, and for male calves, that means to the dairy farm, he was disposable. He was tied up by a chain with bailing twine around his neck, unable to move or lay down, and standing in his own filth.  I was contacted by the farmer and was told " He has an issue with his eye,  we think he's blind. He's going to auction Tuesday, come get him if you want him." We immediatley organized transport and now he is safe at Road To Refuge, knowing nothing but love.

Being able to purchase these addtional four acres, we would be able to help many more calves or other livestock in similar, desperate situtions like JD.

The land itself  is listed for $119,000, and we are hoping to fundraise for half. Any donations would be appreciative to  help us reach our goal and if there is anyone that knows of any sanctuary specifiic grants or knows of an investor/philanthropist willing to fund our efforts,  please reach out to me directly.

Thank you for all your love and support!
