My name is Leo Sharaf, I live in Sydney Australia. I’ve created this on behalf of my cousin, Roaa who has endured displacement and severe hardship. Here’s what she would like you to know:

‏Hi, I’m Roaa. I’m a third-year medical student at Al-Azhar University in North Gaza.

‏Normally, my biggest worry should be passing my heavy Gastrointestinal (GIT) module. Instead, I find myself studying how the human body survives, while fighting to survive myself amidst a devastating war, exhaustion, and destruction.

‏My dream of becoming a doctor is slowly slipping away. The war has completely wiped out my family’s income, and I can no longer afford my tuition. At my university, a single credit hour costs 90 Jordanian Dinars (JOD)—an impossible mountain to climb right now when even basic food and water are hard to find.

‏I am refusing to give up on my stethoscope. My community is bleeding, and I want to stay and heal them. But I can't do it alone.

‏The funds raised will go directly to:

‏• My university tuition (90 JOD per credit hour).

‏• Internet access so I can continue my online classes.

‏• Basic survival needs to keep me physically able to study.

مرحباً، أنا رؤى.. طالبة طب في السنة الثالثة بجامعة الأزهر في شمال غزة.

في الوضع الطبيعي، كان المفروض يكون همي الوحيد هو ضغط دراسة موديول الـ (GIT) اللي بدرسه حالياً. لكن للأسف، أنا بدرس كيف جسم الإنسان بيعيش وبيشتغل، في الوقت اللي أنا بكافح فيه عشان أضل على قيد الحياة وسط الحرب والدمار والتعب النفسي والجسدي.

حلمي إني أصير طبيبة قاعد بيضيع مني. الحرب دمرت مصدر دخل عائلتي تماماً، وما ضل عندي أي قدرة أدفع رسوم الجامعة. تكلفة الساعة الجامعية الواحدة 90 دينار أردني! رقم صار مستحيل أوفره في وقت إحنا بنعاني فيه عشان نلاقي أبسط أساسيات الحياة.

أنا متمسكة بحلمي ومستحيل أرمي السماعة، بدي أكمل دراستي عشان أقدر أداوي جراح ناسي. بس أنا فعلاً مش قادرة أكمل هالطريق لحالي.
