Help Ro Recover from ACL Surgery
Donation protected
If you’ve been in my chair recently, you know that this last December I injured my left knee in a real bad fall. I could tell something was off, but was hopeful I’d fully recover with rest & physical therapy. Well, the MRI results rolled in mid January: “complete/full thickness tear” of the ACL.
Not the news one hopes for!
A series of appointments later, and I’m scheduled for an ACL allograft reconstruction surgery on March 13th.
I’m an independent contractor, which means I am not eligible for unemployment benefits. I am expected to miss at least six weeks of work. Not only will this be a financial blow, but a huge emotional one as well.
The funds I am hoping to raise will go toward my rent, bills & medical expenses for this time.
Getting this surgery ensures I’ll be able to do the things I love again at full capacity: standing behind the chair delivering affirming hair every day, pursuing theatre gigs again, taking dance classes, being active!
If you are able to donate, I would be so appreciative! If not, sharing this is just as helpful.
Here’s to staying positive & getting back on my feet!
With gratitude,
Ro
