Hi, my name is Ro, and I’m raising funds so I can attend pet grooming school and take the next step toward becoming an independent pet groomer.
Dogs have been a huge part of my life, especially during the times when I needed purpose the most. In 2010, I got sober. Anyone who has gone through that journey knows how important it is to stay focused, motivated, and connected to something positive. For me, that something was dogs.
Working with dogs helped keep me grounded. Showing up for them gave me structure and responsibility when I was rebuilding my life. Dogs don’t care about who you used to be. They care about how you treat them in the moment. That kind of trust and consistency helped me stay clean, and it’s something I’ll always be grateful for.
Over time, caring for dogs turned into a passion and a calling. I’ve learned that grooming is about much more than appearances. It’s about a dog’s comfort, health, and well being. Regular grooming helps prevent skin issues, infections, and pain, and it can make a huge difference in a dog’s quality of life.
My goal is to become an independent pet groomer so I can provide calm, patient, one on one care, especially for dogs who are older, anxious, or need a gentler approach. I want to build a career based on compassion, trust, and respect, the same things dogs have given me.
Pet grooming school will give me the professional training and hands on experience I need to do this safely and correctly. The funds raised will go toward tuition, grooming tools, and the certifications required to work professionally.
Every donation, share, or word of encouragement truly helps. This journey is my way of giving back to the dogs who helped save me by helping them stay clean, healthy, and comfortable.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting this dream.
With gratitude,
Ro
