Help RJ's Mom and Family

My name is RJ - I am 16 years old. I want to raise money to help my mom and my family. Back in January, my mom was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. She has acquired a lot of medical bills since, from ER visits to hospital stays, MRIs, CT scans, medications, and infusions. She went for months where she couldn’t see or drive, had heart palpitations, had trouble walking, and even breathing.
Fortunately, now she is managing it and doing better. She’s a fighter, but I don’t think she has any other choice.
She works so hard to not have to ask for help, but let’s face it, raising 6 boys, paying bills, buying groceries, and now trying to afford medications and treatments is impossible for her. On top of that, our AC stopped working in our home and now she will have to take a loan out to replace that as well, which will lead to another expense. If you know my mom, you know she is a very kind person with a caring heart and she loves us (her boys) more than anything.
Just the other day on our way home, we pulled up to a stoplight and she saw a guy standing there with a sign asking for help. Without a second thought, she reached down and pulled out some money to give him. She handed it to him, smiled, and said, “I really hope things get better for you.” When she rolled up her window, I asked her how she knew if he really needed it or not. She said that wasn’t the point, and that the point was her intention to help, not to inquire if he really needed it or not. She went on to say to always help others because we don’t know their story, and to never judge because we don’t know what they have been through. At that moment, I really saw her empathy and kindness. I have always noticed it, but as a kid, you don’t really pay attention. I guess now that I’m getting older I see how special and strong she is. I’m sharing this because I want everyone to know the kind of heart she has. Every day she worries about us. She raises us to love God, treat others with kindness and respect, and to make sure we are making good choices for our own mental and physical well-being. She always has our backs and is there for us no matter what, and now I want to do the same for her. My mom works so hard for us and handles more than anyone should have to. She deserves to be able to breathe, take a break out of survival mode, and not have to worry all the time- whether it’s about us, her health, our home, finances, food, etc.
I know she’s probably going to be embarrassed that I’m asking for help - but mom, when you see this, just know you are worthy of people’s generosity and kindness too. I love you. Love, your oldest son ♥️
