Help RJ Recover from July 5th Sandy Creek Flood

Donation protected
Robert “RJ” Jaquysh is a native Texan who has called Sandy Creek home for many years. Born in Austin and raised in Houston, RJ is known for his resilience and dedication—he’s continued going to work every day, even while living in a home severely damaged by the recent July 5th flood. Tragically, RJ lost his dog in the disaster, and now needs temporary housing to get him out of his house full of black mold, while he works to rebuild his life.

RJ’s immediate goal is to secure an RV for temporary housing so he can move out of his flood-damaged home and protect his health. The flood destroyed nearly all of his furniture and household items, leaving him with very little. Over time, RJ will need to rebuild and replace essentials like furniture, kitchenware, and bedding to restore a sense of normalcy. With only minimal help from local organizations, this GoFundMe could significantly help RJ start to recover from this devastating event.

Your support will help RJ secure temporary housing, replace lost essentials, and begin the long process of rebuilding his life. Every contribution brings him closer to stability and hope after this tragedy.
